Happy New Year! The year has begun with so much rain, water has splashed down upon my work surface and on the stock of vases waiting to be painted, and on the glass roof above my head. The temperatures plummeted, and so I got off to a slow start in the studio. I am posting a picture of a work in progress. Hopefully before too long there will be many more in various states of completion. I am often asked how long it takes to complete a vase. The answer is, it varies. The paint dries quicker in the warmer weather and so I am able to pr

ogress around the vase at a faster rate, but generally the actual painting time is between six and fifty hours, spread over days or weeks.
